A 305 tire seems like overkill for 420hp. Especially for a daily driver sports car.

I’ve driven Toybarus with 265's that i can break lose on public roads. It’s not the tire width, it’s the suspension set up and the way power is delivered that will dictate if there’s to much rubber or not enough.

Has to have big tires because it weighs so much.

I put 275's on my Crossfire and it was noticeably worse on Detroit streets. Also noticeably more grip on the twisties, but they would follow groves more than the 255's.
.... But most 911 drivers dont live with streets as terrible.

911's have a ton of rear weight bias and run a surprising amount of negative camber. Mid-corner that entire 305 section has a perfect contact patch with the pavement. That is why you can absolutely hammer it out of a corner in a 911.

It’s got nothing on the 918.
